To find the best solution for the Kinsol Trestle, the CVRD commissioned a series of studies over the past few years, listened to what the community wanted, and worked with the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure.

Projected Costs & Funding
Funding for the rehabilitation work and new walkway has come, in part, from the federal and provincial infrastructure programs, as well as other sources. The local community’s target fundraising goal is $2 million.

Rehabilitation Schedule
Construction on the rehabilitation project began June 28, 2010, with the official opening set for late spring 2011.
